Hi all,

My Canon Pixma mg5620 decided to stop turning on this morning. From all the
searching, it seems that this just happens, and it means that the printer is
dead.

So: Has anyone resurrected a Canon Pixma?

If not, does anyone have a recommendation for an printer-scanner (don't need
fax, of course) which
  scans grayscale reasonably quickly
  prints reasonably quickly
  has pretty good quality
  can print in color
  is not bulky
  is not a laser printer
does not cost an arm an a leg for ink

After wasting a couple of hours trying to find a comparable printer which got
reasonably good reviews, I came up with the Canon Pixma TS6320 (which just came
out this year). It looks good, except for the last item above, where even from
CarrotInk, replacement ink for one set of tanks costs $70, and a
double-replacement with an extra page-black costs $120(!!). This for a $70
printer.

Oh, and I don't print all that much. I mostly use the scanner, and every once
and a while have to print tickets or boarding passes.

Anyways, if anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears.

Thanks,

Bill
