You could try booting a standard Machinekit image or one of RCN's
Debian images on the BBP.  If either work it should be very easy to
get a configuration setup.  I'm not sure how much the BBP folks
changed from a "stock" 'Bone.  Hopefully special versions of uBoot and
the kernel will not be necessary...and if they aren't required any
stock image should boot OK.
