Debian Jessie doesn't have pre-built -RT kernels available. I need a
real-time kernel for an x86 box running Machinekit and don't really
feel like building one (even though it's not really that hard):

http://www.machinekit.io/docs/developing/building-rt-preempt-kernel/

...has anyone used the packaged kernels from Pengutronix:

http://www.pengutronix.de/software/linux-rt/debian_en.html

...is there a reason we suggest folks build their own kernel vs. using
these pre-built ones?
