thanks for helping to investigate this issue! We are not too familiar with 
machinekit or linux. We can help more but would need very specific command 
line commands or something that you want us to execute and watch. We have 
started machinekit through the shell but after the initialization, nothing 
more was posted in the shell. I dont know how to see what the hal_temp_bbb 
script does...

I should add that we use a 10k thermistor for the heatbed (instead of the 
regular 100k) and i have added a .txt file with the thermistor table to the 
folder with the others and it works well - but it may be the source of the 
issue?
