ssh -X or -Y does not export DISPLAY variable and does not work when I
manually export it. I tried to set it to :10.0, but this doesn't help:
machinekit@beaglebone:~$ DISPLAY=:10.0 xcalc
Error: Can't open display: :10.0
While this command, issued from ssh opens an app window in local lxde
display:
machinekit@beaglebone:~$ DISPLAY=:0.0 xcalc
Furthermore, yesterday I was connecting to BeagleBone Black lxde screen
successfully by using a x11vnc command below and my VNC client, but not
today. Today it is working with sudo only. I have no idea what's the
reason for that.
machinekit@beaglebone:~$ x11vnc -bg -o %HOME/.x11vnc.log.%VNCDISPLAY
-auth /var/run/lightdm/root/:0 -forever
