Hi Jean Claude, I'm running a Waveshare 7" Display on the BBB with Machinekit. This works. Please note that the graphics performance of the BBB is not great and I think that the GUI needs to be carefully selected. I use touchy, which works nicely. I'm not sure if e.g. GMOCCAPY will be fun to work with (but have not tried).
I use this on a lathe so I can also live without the preview (2D only). But this is a different story on a mill I think. I'd consider changing this (and also replace the PC on my mill) if the BeagleBone AI is relased. This sounds like a great controller. BR, Malte Am Sonntag, 24.
