Ask the natives what language they speak. What "Christian" god do they believe in? They were here first, after all. We just forced our way on them. Since we stole all their land, shouldn't they at least be allowed to practice their own culture?
Ask the Quebecois what language they speak. They were here after the natives, but before the British (or any other) white man. The French have given Canada some of it's best icons (Guy Lafleur, Sir Wilfrid Laurier) and help to give Canada it's cosmopolitan reputation (and help to differentiate us from the US). Why wouldn't we encourage them to continue to practice their culture?
Tough. They lost the war. Let them go speak swahili or whatever somewhere else - we won, they lost, it's therefore our country, our rules. Life is tough.
