Have you thought about IDSL instead of ISDN? No advantages in the bandwidth
and you lose the voice capability that you have in the ISDN line. But IDSL
is DSL run over an ISDN line. I got mine through MegaPath networks (which
they use Rhythms and Qwest - I live in Oregon). Static IP and you can up/dn
at the same time supposedly. Mine runs $65 per month with static ip's,
mailboxes, webhosting, etc. Qwest is now also offering their version of
IDSL but it also states on the Qwest website that you can buy some sort of
compression scheme through them that will boost your throughput to about
500k during continous transmissions.
PS: IDSL will run anywhere that ISDN will go..... took Qwest 4 months to
clean the lines from the C.O. to my house. Very stable...only went down
yesterday because the "total access" Qwest network card in the network
interface box on the side of the house went down. For Qwest, they fixed it
fast - about a 24 turnaround.
Good luck,
Nathan Shaffer
