Well..thanks for the suggestions, but unfortunately, no gain and plenty 
of pain.  Same lack of activity in chooser.  There appears to be no 
drivers required for this piece of hardware, only a utility called 
EtherPrint Administrator which only appears to help if the network is up 
and running properly.  Does anyone have a Comm Slot II ethernet card to 
sell me?  Looks like Apple LocalTalk Bridge may be the way to go.
