Sorry about the incomplete info, the Netware guys went missing yesterday (if
that counts as an excuse!).

        1 Netware v5.2.
2 The error msg.: "Problem with n/w connection. MacIPX may
            not be configed. properly..."
        3 MacOS 8.1 on PB

The 'standard' MacIPX settings worked fine in the past and I don't have any
reason (yet) to beleive that that might be the cause of the problem (I'm no
MacIPX expert). With the previous Netware versions, a reboot/AplleTalk
on/off usually did the trick. I have a suspision it might be a setting on
the Netware side- maybe someone can comment on that. Our n/w staff is
totally ignorant about Mac.s on their n/w (Mac people use CD.s & stffies,
don't they?).

I'm aware of Novell having transferred the client s/w to a 3rd party. My
needs are a bit basic, however: sharing archive data on the Netware server
with a phletora of win users, no n/w printing or other fancy stuff. I
suppose they did a good job and their s/w is worth the money, but a bit of
an overkill & pricy for my needs..
 regards
