I have issues on one of my Mac at home (and one at my last job, for that
matter)

I get an IPX error, and when going into MacIPX everything is zeroed out.

The solution for me is to select Appletalk (which generates an error
message - just click OK), then select IPX. Bingo - all network numbers are
back.

I'm not using the Prosoft client either - oops, actually I may be using
their first client before they started charging for it. In any case, it's a
pretty old client, as clients go.
