Short answer: yes Longer answer: That's what I'm doing. Have a PTP250 (OS 9.1), a PowerCurve (OS 9.1) and a shitbox, errr, I mean a winbox (W98) all ethernetted to a 6100 (OS 8.1) running IPNR. 6100 is also running Localtalk Bridge to Appletalk with a personal laserwriter NT and an HP 560c printer. Works great.
The headless 6100 handles the modem (dial-up) to the outside world and the printing chores. A caveat when setting up IPNR. Read the manual and (as John Muir says in the Volkswagen Idiot book) "Don't think!" Read and follow it step-by-step and it'll all work.
