Hi again, Is there a way to diagnose a cable connection with Mac apps (and which apps)??? I am experiencing a cable connection that in late afternoon, early evening is sometimes serving files at 83, 86, 94 bytes a second. Some average (around 2 MB) downloads can take up to 4 HOURS, etc. At other (non-peak) times, it is smooth sailing and I get download times in the neighborhood of 25-39 Mbits per second. Is this my ISP, is it the cable system or is it the site that I am at that is the problem? How do I distinguish?
