Jack,
The linksys router is giving you a private network of 192.168.1.X, 
(where X is 0-255). The first address in that range is 1 (0 is the 
network itself), and is used by the linksys router. The rest (except 
255) can be used by you computers (e.g. 101 for you Mac). In other 
words, enough for up to 253 MACs/PCs...
The linksys is then doing NAT (Network Address Translation). It has 
an INTERNAL (on your LAN) address of 192.168.1.1, but its EXTERNAL 
address is dynamic (given by your ISP).
By using the method that was described earlier, you create a link 
between that EXTERNAL address and your Web-server IP-address. Even 
without doing that, you should be able to access you web-server from 
you LAN by typing <http://192.168.1.101>.
 From the OUTSIDE, you will need to use the EXTERNAL address, which is 
dynamic, in other words, it changes all the time. That makes it 
difficult to use.
