I'm kind of jumping in here as I missed the earlier parts of this thread
(sorry, been a busy few days, so most list email has been purged in bulk).

BUT... LocalTalk Bridge is meant for (obviously) localtalk capable
equipment (in particular, printers, and I think it may be limited to ONLY
working with printers).

What Stylewriter model do you have? Is it localtalk capable? If it is
serial only, localtalk bridge (and hardware localtalk to ethernet boxes)
will be useless.

However, IIRC, all the serial stylewriters (and thus all stylewriters as
they all support serial), WILL work with Apple's Printer Share utility.
It has been a while since I set one up, but I thought it was as simple as
connecting the 7600 to the Stylewriter, setting up its driver in the
chooser, and then choosing "Share" in the Chooser (maybe in an options or
setup button... not sure).

That will more or less turn the 7600 into a Serial to AppleTalk adaptor.
At that point, anything that can communicate with the 7600 over appletalk
can see and use the printer (doesn't matter if it is Ethertalk [AppleTalk
over Ethernet] or LocalTalk [AppleTalk over... um... well, LocalTalk or
TeleNet/TeleTalk])

Sorry if this doesn't help any, like I said, I missed the begining of the
thread... but from the bit clipped, it struck me that you might be
heading down an expensive but useless solution if your Stylewriter is in
fact serial only.
