Hello: The Washington Post has a comparative report on five IEEE 802.11a systems by NetGear, Proxim Harmony, D-link, SMC, and Linksys. Testing was done by Government Computer News for the office environement. Primary criterion was speed at various distances up to 80 feet. Linksys came in last, not being effective beyond 20 feet. Security was another criterion.
