Oh Duh! I just wasn't thinking about THAT thing being a bridge. I had some
former dealings with a software bridge that was never reliable. My
apologies. You have offered well-meaning assistance, I'm just out of luck,
but coping just fine. I'm a musician, so I usually have lots of wires
attached to my iBook. For those brief excursions out into the world, where
the rest of my family live, I can do without the printer - I guess. 8-)
