I did get the Extreme Base Station and it has the connection for the external antennae, but seems antennas are not included a litttle to my surprise. I have seen 2 of them for sale, one is a "more" directional type antennae, the other is sold more as an "omni" directional antennae. Both are about $40 to $50.

Have you used one ? I have read their supposed to increase range but have not seen many real use reviews. The way the house is laid out 100 feet long and 40 feet wide to get through the bedrooms they have to go through 2 walls of real Sheet Rock, each sheet is 2" thick making each wall 4" thick with rock, it's not just the usual dry wall. The actual depth of the wall varies from 8 inches to more then 3 feet where there is closet space built in.

This sort of divides the living space from the bedrooms and and baths. As I am using a first generation Airport card in my pismo a 100 feet seems a bit of a stretch. My other place is 70 feet long and a straight shot I can hold a connection but it's a bit of a turn it this way deal at max range about 50 feet, even dropping connections if placed on the floor. However that base station is a graphite. Bridging with 3 Extreme base stations would to be pretty pricey.
Thanks for the info
Geoff

I don't suppose you got the AirPort Extreme Base Station with the external antennae jack? An AEBS w/antennae might be a better/cheaper option than bridging.
