Apple Lowering iMac Prices: Rev Coming or Clearing Inventory?

Weeks of inventory to clear may also mean revised models.
MacNN is reporting that Apple is about to lop $150 off the price of the base LCD iMac.
Currently at $1,399, $1,249 prices are reportedly being prepared by Apple retailers.
IGM has previously canvassed Apple''s need to reduce iMac prices, particularly in the
wake of the company''s Q3 earnings warning.
If correct, it appears Apple is getting ready to clear weeks of inventory on the
iMacs. However, as IGM''s Ron Carlson
reported recently, Taiwanese contractors have apparently been readying a revved iMac,
which would make sense in view of MWNY.
