Apple relaunches ''Crystal Clear'' promo
By ron carlson, Insanely Great Mac
July 9th 2002

This time around the discounts are deeper

Although there''s no mention of this revived promotion on Apple''s promo page, the
Crystal Clear promotion is indeed back -- this time with deeper discounts. Here''s the
drill:

Buy a 800MHz PowerMac and receive $300 with the purchase of a qualifying Apple
Display.
Buy an 933MHz PowerMac and receive $400 with the purchase of a qualifying Apple
Display.
Buy an 1GHz Dual Processor Powermac and receive $500 with the purchase of a
qualifying Apple Display.

Details, including a downloadable mail-in rebate coupon, are available from the online
Apple Store. This promotion runs through August 14.

Analysis: Could Aug. 14 be the anticipated ship date for Apple''s new pro desktops,
hmmm? Seems an odd bit of timing given how many sources have "confirmed" DDR PowerMacs
MWNY coming out party, wouldn''t you say? I''m speculating -- because it makes me
feel, er, naughty -- that I won''t be getting a MWNY press pass in the mail any time
soon.
