MacAmp Lite: Special pricing, new plug-ins

Not everyone loves iTunes and here are two more reasons to think different about mp3
playback
Subband Software has announced special pricing for its popular MacAmp Lite X through
July 21 -- get 33 percent off and pay only $8.
"If you''ve been waiting, now is the time to pick up MacAmp Lite for just $8!" the
company enthuses on the MacAmp Lite X homepage. "We''ve also uploaded 7 new or updated
plugins to the Plugins section. Most requested is our new crossfader plugin, as well
as MIDI and Flac support, and more!"
Specifically, Subband has posted three brand new skins, created by Avaritia Design,
and the app''s very first third party plugin. The new plugin will appeal to a small
but vocal portion of MacAmp''s user base -- those who use Shorten files. Shorten is a
"lossless" compression format which is gaining popularity.
