Jaguar breaks sales record

Over 100,000 copies were sold over the weekend
Apple has announced that more than 100,000 copies of X.2 were sold worldwide during
its first weekend, setting a new record for Mac OS sales for a single weekend. More
than 50,000 people visited Apple''s 35 retail stores during Friday night''s "100
Minutes of Jaguar" launch event.
"Jaguar is our fastest out-of-the-gate OS release ever, and it''s looking like a home
run," said Steve Jobs in a company press release. "The reviews are off the charts, and
customers are raving about Jaguar''s stability, speed, new features and Windows
compatibility."
With more than 150 new features and new bundled apps, Jaguar is Apple''s most
aggressive OS update in many years, perhaps ever.
Analysis: I''m wondering if Apple included pre-orders delivered on Friday and Saturday
in their count, or if the company is counting only retail and mail-order sales
beginning last Friday at 10:20pm when the OS "officially" went on sale?
