Apple posts new "Switch" ads
By ron carlson, Insanely Great Mac
September 7th 2002
The mothership keeps driving the message home -- ''it just works''
Apple has posted six new "Switch" ads -- the very same ones that are running this
weekend during the US Open tennis tournament. As has been the case in previous
iterations, the company keeps pounding the same message -- "it just works."
The ad the sums up perfectly Apple''s message is the one featuringGautam Godse, who
says, "It''s so simple and logical. I don''t know why people out there with so many
millions of dollars of research can''t produce a simple thing like iPhoto which Apple
has done."
The fun irony of Godse''s 30-seconds of fame is that he''s a software projects
manager. Granted, he probably works in a bank or the like, but it''s still pleasing to
hear a software guy diss his profession.
All of the new ads can viewed on Apple''s Switch page. And, lest you become depressed
because you haven''t had your "Feiss" fix today, the world''s favorite high school
student can be found here.
