Adobe posts Photoshop 7 trial version
By ron carlson, Insanely Great Mac

If you decide to buy the industry-leading image-editing app, the company will give you
$150 off Premier 6.5 if you purchase both

Adobe has posted a downloadable, time-limited trial-version of its benchmark
image-editing app, Photoshop. However, at 345.1MB, the decision to download is almost
as almost difficult as laying down $609 for the full program -- almost. The upgrade
sells for $149.

The company is running a promotion to tempt buyers into purchasing both Photoshop 7.0
and Premier 6.5, the latest iteration of the company's DV editing app. Their "siren
song" goes like this:

Get US$150 off Adobe Premiere 6.5 -- the essential tool for professional digital video
editing -- when purchasing Photoshop 7.0. Products must be purchased at the same time.
Discount applied in the shopping cart.

So, if after downloading the 30-day demo of Photoshop and discovering that you like
it, you'll be faced with the conundrum of deciding whether or not your should reach
even deeper for a discounted copy of Premier.

Decisions, decisions...

Editor's note: It's exceedingly odd that the trial-version weighs in at 345.1MB, but
the download of the full-blown apps tips the scales at only 299.7MB. There's either a
major typo on Adobe's website (that's repeated on several pages) or something really
strange had to be done to the Mac version of the app to make it "trialware."
