X-quest: Toast 5.2 update giving you trouble?

Here's an easy way to get Roxio's updated CD/DVD burning app barking 'Jingle Bells' in
tune
Yesterday we reported that Roxio has at last made Toast 5.2 available for download.
Though most of those who upgraded to v5.2 did so without incident, I like a number of
other users discovered that after updating the app would crash on launch. Here's a
quick and easy way to recover from the problem:
#1 After running the v5.2 updater, locate Toast 5.2 on your hard drive, right click
(control click for those without a two-button mouse) and select "Show Package
Contents;"
#2 Navigate as follows -- Contents -> Mac OS -- and then throw away the "roxio.dat"
file; and
#3 Upon launching Toast you'll be asked to provide your serial number, enter it and
the app should run just fine thereafter.
