Apple to Report Quarterly Results Wednesday
By Remy Davison, Insanely Great Mac
October 14th 2002

Cupertino will be in the black this quarter.

Apple will report its Q4 results on Wednesday afternoon after markets close. The
company will host a conference call, available via a QuickTime webcast.

Users accessing the webcast will require QuickTime for Macintosh or Windows installed.

Analysis: Apple has not issued an earnings warning this time aroumd, which is "good
news when you don't hear from us," as CFO Fred Anderson has said previously. Apple did
issue a warning prior to the announcement of its Q3 results, which were issued just
prior to MWNY. On that occasion, Apple reported reduced per-share earnings, although
it remained in the black, recording a profit of $32 million.

Apple stock has fallen significantly since the Q3 earnings announcement, currently at
a low $14.51. However, a number of senior Apple execs exercised options worth millions
in the interim period between the Q2 and Q3 announcements, realizing substantial
gains. The officers of the company exercising shares included CFO Anderson and Senior
VP Timothy Cook.
