Apple Introduces 3-Year OS X Server Maintenance Program
By Remy Davison, Insanely Great Mac

AMP guarantees shipped-to-your-door OS X Server updates for three years.

Apple has introduced an Apple Maintenance Program (AMP) for OS X Server customers,
which provides all OS X Server software upgrades over a period of three years.

The program promises that all software upgrades will be available to AMP subscribers
at no additional charge. This, says Apple, will obviate the need for OS X Server users
to purchase new versions of OS X Server as they become available. Upgrades will be
shipped to customers automatically.

Apple states that the three-year agreement is non-cancelable and is aimed at
"protect[ing] your software investment" and lowering total cost of ownership.

AMP is available for 10-client and unlimited-client licensees, with various price
scales according to the number of servers deployed.

An OS X Server (1-10 users) license for 1-9 servers starts at $499. AMP is available
from the AppleStore, or from authorized Apple resellers.
