WebMerge: Build pages from your DB
By ron carlson, Insanely Great Mac

Get DB-generated pages on the web without hand-coding messy server scripts

Fourth World has released WebMerge 2.0. This handy app generates static web pages from
database files and allows users to quickly, easily build catalogs, e-zines, contact
lists, image galleries, etc.

WebMerge provides options for any field delimiters and includes presets for most
popular formats, including FileMaker Merge, Access Word Merge, tab-delimited,
comma-delimited, and others. The generated files can be uploaded to any server without
the need for specialized database hosting.

WebMerge 2.0 is available as a demo here.

Editor's note: In a world that runs on database, this tool creates a happy middle
ground for people interested in serving DB-generated pages without the need to learn
and write web server code.
