Iomegaware 4.02 Released
By Remy Davison, Insanely Great Mac
October 28th 2002

More OS X native support, backward-compatibility in new release.

Iomega has released Iomegaware 4.02, its suite of tools for its removable storage
line, such as Zip, Jaz, HipZip, FotoShow, Peerless and Clik. The new 750MB Zip is
supported.

Version 4.02 is for OS X (compatibile with 10.2.1) and the classic Mac OS (8.6 or
later). Iomegaware adds an OS X-native Tools application. Iomega, in its release
notes, speaks of "compatibility" with older systems ((Quadra, Centris, Macintosh LC,
Macintosh SE, Macintosh II, Performa, Powerbook, and Powerbook Duo). However, none of
these Macs support OS 8.6, unless OEMed or upgraded to PowerPC. We assume Iomega means
there will not be driver compatibility problems if Iomega removable storage is used
with these older Macs.

Iomegaware 4.02 is a 3.8MB download.
