MCE Releases 4 New PowerBook AC, Auto Adapters
By Remy Davison, Insanely Great Mac
October 29th 2002
Compact AC adapters for both home and car use suit all PowerBooks and iBooks released
since 1996.
MCE has released four new AC and auto power adapters (54k PDF) for the PowerBook 1400
through to the G4.
Two of the adapters are AC and two are car adapters. One adapter type suits the
PowerBooks 1400, 2400, 3400, original G3 (Kanga), G3 (Wallstreet), G3 Bronze/FireWire
(Lombard/Pismo) and the clamshell (colored) iBooks.
The other type of adapter is suitable for all white iBooks and all PowerBook G4s
(Titanium).
MCE describes all of the adapters as " compact and rugged for mobile field use". All
of them come with a power LED. The adapters are fuse-protected, and support both US
and international voltages (120-240v AC). The auto adapters also supply both power and
battery charge simultaneously.
The adapters are priced at $44.95 each and are in stock and ready to ship immediately.
