ATI Updates, Corrects October Drivers Release
By Remy Davison, Insanely Great Mac
October 30th 2002

October driver update redux for ATI XClaim, Radeon and Rage 128 chipsets.

ATI has issued a different version of its October Retail Update. The revision to the
software addresses the following issues:

- Graphics Corruption in 3D design applications after installing October 2002 ATI
Retail Update
- Graphics Corruption in Warcraft III using October 2002 ATI Retail Update
- Difficulties using TV Output in Mac OS X after installing October 2002 ATI Retail
Update
- Cannot Disable ATI Menu after installing October 2002 ATI Retail Update

The ATI update comprises revised drives for both OS X and OS, and includes various
XClaim, Radeon and Rage 128 cards.

Note: ATI's page incorrectly notes that the first retail update was posted
"11/16/2002" (should read "10/16/2002). The revised update referred to in this article
was posted 10/29/2002.
