Graphic Converter revved to v4.5
By ron carlson, Insanely Great Mac
October 31st 2002
The Swiss Army Knife of graphic apps gets a major update
Lemke Software has announced that GraphicConverter -- the indispensable, all-purpose
image editing program that can import 96 different graphic-based formats, edit the
image, and export it out of 38 file available file formats -- has been updated to
v4.5. Graphic Convertor's editing tools are well-suited for graphic manipulation and
users can install Photoshop-compatible plug-ins to add stunning visual effects.
Further, it offers batch-conversion capabilities, a slide show window and more.
New features and fixes in v4.5 include:
 ota import/export added;
 PDF importing added (X only);
 basic ORF import added;
 html catalog creation will now embed help tags;
 PSD (photoshop) files can now be opened with QuickTime as option, too;
 CRW import improved;
 CINEON import added;
 Windows ICON import and export improved;
 JPEG 2000 export with KDU added;
 RAW export improved (more options);
 DICOM preferences added;
 12-bit TIFF importing added; etc.
One of the nice and understated features of this application is its backwards
compatibility -- a version is available that runs on OS 7.5.
Graphic Converter v4.5 can downloaded here.
