Apple Releases WebObjects 5.2
By Remy Davison, Insanely Great Mac
November 12th 2002
Trial version available for OS X 10.2.2
Apple has released WebObjects 5.2, its high-end developer suite for web
applications.
WebObjects supports cutting-edge technologies, such as Extensible Markup Language
(XML) and Simple Object Access Protocol. It also lets web developers build database
applications that have HTML, XML, SMIL or Swing (Java) interfaces.
"Our customer base is increasingly interested in how to develop applications for the
server," said Brian Croll, senior director of worldwide product marketing for Apple.
Apple is offering a free trial version of WebObjects, which is compatible with the
newly-released OS X 10.2.2. A new license costs $699.
