Stone Design updates .pdf tools

These redistilling and watermarking tools add flexibility and control to an
Acrobat-based workflow
Stone Design has announced a new version of PStill, its PostScript to Portable
Document Format (PDF) conversion program, as well as StampInStone 2.0, a native OS X
PDF watermarking application. The company, which claims to be "the oldest Mac OS X
software house," says both apps are shipping now.
PStill for Mac OS X puts an easy to use, drag and drop interface on top of the PStill
Conversion Engine, developed and enhanced by Frank Siegert for over 14 years. Users
can drag in a PS, EPS, PDF, or image file, and drag out the PDF result. In addition,
PStills EPS filter lets users view EPS as antialiased PDF in any Mac OS X application
that supports filter services.
StampInStone allows users to instantly add lines of text, an image or both to any page
in a PDF document. With control over color, font, size and placement, StampInStone
provides an intuitive interface for creating stamps and for stamping and unstamping
single or multiple documents.
StampInStone 2.0 carries a $49 price tag and PStill 2.5 is a free upgrade for current
PStill and Stone Studio owners. PStill is available online from the Stone Store for
$69. It is also included as part of Stone Studio, Stone Designs suite of Mac OS X
graphics and productivity applications.
Full-strength, 30-day demos of both apps can be downloaded here.
