Microsoft Releases Office 10.1.3 Update

Bug fix from MacBU addresses language, custom dictionary problems.
Microsoft has posted a maintenance update for Office v.X, which includes fixes for
French proofing and Italian spelling. The update addresses custom dictionaries,
extended characters, em-dashes in French grammar and grammar checking.
Microsoft advises users install the update if they utilize French or Italian language
dictionaries or grammar. The update works with English, French, German, Spanish, and
Swedish editions of Office v.X. All affected applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and
Entourage) are updated.
The 1.5 MB download is available in the above language editions, and requires OS X
10.1 or later and 50MB of temporary hard drive space.
Analysis: It's good to see MS consistently release updates for Office v.X, but I wish
MS would follow the practise of other developers and start numbering update versions
in line with Apple's OS X releases. To the uninitiated, this sounds like an update for
OS 10.1.3. Calling it Office 10.1.4 Update might make a lot more sense.
