Get a 'sneak peek' at Nisus Writer X

This long-time Mac-only favorite is wending its way toward release
Nisus is offering users a "sneak peek" at their upcoming Nisus Writer X, which will
sport dozens of new features as well as long-time favorites like multiple-language
support.
"We have always made it our mission to build applications that encourage users'
creativity," states company PR, "and the new Nisus Writer for OS X is no exception.
"This new version has been completely re-written in Cocoa to take advantage of Mac OS
X technologies."
The new release, which MacCentral reports is expected in late February or early March,
will include a redesigned interface, better search-and-replace, burnished macro
capabilities and Unicode support.
The feature on their list that caught my eye is non-contiguous text selection, which I
expect will allow a user to select paragraphs, sentences and, perhaps, even individual
words that are separated by other text.
Editor's note: My first impulse on hearing this news is "It's about time." However,
Nisus is a small company and given its long, long record of Mac development deserves a
bit of slack, as well as our loyalty whence the doth ship.
For uninitiated, Nisus is perhaps the only word processor that really supports
multi-lingual text editing.
