I work mainly on internet, basic adobe apps like DW IL PS, sometimes FL, and some itunes but not nearly the full capacity that my baby is capable of.
Does this Internet stuff still work with a power outage happening? If not it might be a solution to put the Mac to sleep for that time.
I have the following: Tata Green 150A battery Numeric 600va inverter tried--800va inverter for same battery
There exist power supplies which can be connected to 12 Volts directly. There isn't much sense in converting 12 Volts DC up to 220 Volts AC outside the computer just to convert it back to 12 and less Volts DC inside the computer, after all.
Dropping the desktop Mac for a portable one would be another solution, of course. MacBooks are designed to work off the grid.
