How do I update the printer selection list (the list of known printer types) in Sys Prefs/Add Printer? OSX 10.6.3
We have a remote Phaser Xerox. When we add it as an LPD or IPP printer, it always comes up as 'Generic PostScript Printer', causing it to print only monochrome, no double-sided printing options, etc. Clicking on 'Select Printer Software' in the Add Printer panel shows no Xerox Phaser entries in the list. Is the printer driver list updatable?
