Note, as I said, this is not purely a driver issue (not that we have real drivers in OS X anyway) and 10.6.4 may not resolve this, you may need to wait for the next bootable release, not just an update. Your best options in order are: (1) Clean install from the Installer CD/DVD, reinstall any third party app, copy over your $HOME and data. (2) Clean install from the Installer, as root (preferably in SUM, logged in via ssh or the Terminal) copy over any missing applications (which should be self-contained .apps or should have supporting code in /Library), and everything in /Library. You shouldn't have anything in /System that doesn't belong to Apple. Then copy over your $HOME and data. This presumes this is a single user machine. Otherwise you could restore OD too, but better to just recreate accounts and copy over their $HOMEs. -d ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Dan Shoop Computer Scientist [email protected] GoogleVoice: 1-646-402-5293 aim: iWiring twitter: @colonelmode _______________________________________________ MacOSX-admin mailing list [email protected] http://www.omnigroup.com/mailman/listinfo/macosx-admin
