Still can't connect. I talked to Road Runner tech support and they asserted that no udp ports are being blocked. I redirected the 3 VPN ports ( 500, 1701, 4500 ) to a linux box that had all of the ports free and found that I could *not* pass a datagram from the ipad (3G mode) to ports 500 and 4500 but could pass a datagram from the iPad (3G mode) to port 1701 on the linux box. ( all targeting the wan facing IP of the router). So...Is Road Runner fibbing or has my AEBS become flakey ;( Does anyone have any recommendations for a reasonably priced simultaneous dual band, gigabit enet ports and plays nice with VPN?
