I remember using Minux around 1982, well before Linux. While yes, concepts and architecture may be similar, and some use that as the benchmark for derivations of code in unix history timelines, I'd hardly call them the same or attempt to claim that one was "based" on the other beyond that they are "based" as being unices and have certain architectural similarities.
