Greetings- I have searched the web, but all of the articles I find are quite old. My daughter has a TIme Machine disc that I set up for her to back up her laptop. Of course it works beautifully as along as she remembers to plug in.
So I'm wondering if I were to move that particular disk to the Airport Extreme would Time Machine see it and continue with backups for her laptop? Will she have to manually mount the drive each time (which would be hardly any better than the current situation) or is there some magic once I use Time machine to point to the airdisc? Now obviously I could just plug this in and try it out and not bother the list. However, the airport extreme is mounted on a beam 3 stories above my living room and installing up there is a significant effort if I find out it's no better than the haphazard backups she is getting now. Thanks in advance. /david -- david herren-lage - shoreham, vt, us na terra solsys orionarm Candidate for 11th Commandment: "Thou shalt not consume thine own bodyweight in fudge." _______________________________________________ MacOSX-admin mailing list [email protected] http://www.omnigroup.com/mailman/listinfo/macosx-admin
