Anybody know why this happens when you try to re-install Snow Leopard on a 3 week old MacBookPro 13 ?
when trying to reinstall SL on a 3 -week old MBPro13 , I see: "The contents of this disk can't be changed" After a few tries, now the MBPro goes BLACK (seems to turn off) while holding the "C" key down when trying to boot from a Snow DVD... If we boot without the DVD in the drive and hold the shift key down, we see a graphic that looks like a firmware update oval, but it never fills .. we get the gear ... then the display goes black hardware issue? A neighbor brought her new MBPro 13 here and is livid .. I'm just trying to figure out what's going on it did boot at one point .. I launched the console and things stopped reporting after the Adobe CS4 monitor could not call home ... and the pinwheel of death was ineluctable subsequent reboots got worse .. to the point where the machine just shuts down during a reboot probably hardware ... but just wondering if anybody has any suggestions thanks K _______________________________________________ MacOSX-talk mailing list [email protected] http://www.omnigroup.com/mailman/listinfo/macosx-talk
