Since using OSX, I'm bothered by the fact, that Finder windows
which I have arranged in a special place with no tool- or sidebar
on, are opened with tool-and sidebar on and on another position, if
I open the window by an alias.
Is there somewhere an entry in com.apple.finder.plist (or
elsewhere), where I could change Finder's nasty behaviour that so
that my windows ALWAYS open the way and position they had been
closed? Or is that still a dream of old pre-OSX days ?
Do I assume the alias was created back when the display settings were
set the previous way? Have you tried trashing the alias and
recreating it from the folder as its display settings are set now?
