I've been wondering if there weren't a way to have an Applescript

You can easily create an AppleScript snip...snip...snip
That's not my problem.
Since years, I place my windows in a certain order (placing, size,
view, bkg-color and so on) to distinguish to which folder hierarchy
they belong to. I do that with a Quickeys shortcut (which includes
some Applescript code), so I can rapidly place and set a window the
way I want to. I can even batchprocessing any number of open window
with one shortcut, it's easy and quite fast.
The thing is that normally you have to do it twice: first for the
window you opened normally by double clicking the folder, then for the
window of the same folder you open by an alias (it appears that this
are indeed two different settings in .DS_Store). Once you have done
that, the windows always open "correctly". But it's to much a work to
do an alias for each and every folder just do have all settings to my
liking...
