I installed two different utilities, one called iGetter, (another one I forget
the name of), and after uninstalling them, I have a lingering problem.
It seems that Safari (and Firefox) can't seem to understand file links (dmg,
pdf, etc). When I click on those sort of things, I get a new web page brought
up, with the file link in the address bar, and an error message in the activity
bar.

So... is there a preference, hidden or otherwise, which dictates how or what
handles file downloads? I tried just resetting Safari, but no dice. It almost
seems like I changed a default, in the same way one can change one's default
email app, browser, streamer, etc.
