I believe the (only major difference in the long term will be Apple's use of native apps and Google's use of Web apps (client in the browser - which also means all local storage in the browser cache or persistent store).
There is computing power and storage on the server side and on the client side and both solutions (Apple's and Google's) will eventually use all of this computing power and storage in some way or fashion. Note as Apple is moving away from using file systems then it becomes even more like Google's solution since the files are kept inside the app. I wonder when it will be an option not to use a file system on a Mac - probably never, probably have to wait until iOS (or a more merged iOS and Mac OS X) comes to laptops and desktops. Cheers, Ashley. _______________________________________________ MacOSX-talk mailing list [email protected] http://www.omnigroup.com/mailman/listinfo/macosx-talk
