I don't think so. There were no displays to this spec before the iPhone 4. Is 
anyone else using a 328ppi screen on their phones? Is LG selling those screens 
to anyone else? Nope, they are exclusive to Apple. This tells me that Apple was 
at the by least heavily involved in them.

Apple says they did and no one has said anything differently.
