I did not even know what "centrify" was, so I did not know whether I should
care or not. Also, even if I should not care about it, I do not know how to
stop it from running. Mainly I am concerned because it dominates my Console
logs. These same 15 lines of "error messages" are repeating every 5 or 10
seconds, so it is difficult to see any other messages because they are buried
in millions of lines of centrify/McAfee messages.

As for McAfee, is this software generally considered helpful, hurtful, or just
useless?

How do I remove the centrify software? Also, I do not believe I have a way to
remove the McAfee software, as I do not see a McAfee package or a McAfee
uninstaller. This was installed by the computer support folks, so I guess I
will have to ask them to remove it (and I'm sure they will then want to install
a Lion version).

Thanks,

Gregg
