why bother?  My point is:  if this is a centrally managed machine, supposedly, 
and they don't support Lion, but you installed Lion, why rock the boat?  I 
don't know how your IT dept is but I would not want to involve IT in anything I 
did not have to.

I consider it  useless.  But with this latest Java based malware thingy going 
around more people will probably find it useful than previously.  Just don't 
type your password into anything you did not mean to do or know what it is 
doing etc, don't visit dodgy sites, and avoid java and flash.

See above. Why bother.  Everyone's logs are full of useless lines that come 
from things that don't know what they are doing.   When it comes to IT dept, 
especially when I am running "unsupported", I keep them as far away as possible.
